The text is about Greek historical movie Politiki kouzina (English title Touch of Spice) released in 2003 and directed by Tasos Boulmetis. The film has been enthusiastic recived by the critics and viewers in Greece and was submitted in several festivals with great audience participation. Tasos Boulmetis presented an unique and very controversial theme which was not touched for decades: unesolved Geek-Turkish conflict in Cyprus. The original Greek title of movie written in capital letters has alternative meaning as Political cuisine or Cuisine of Constantinople and suggests that politics plays important role in this movie. The main problem is deportation of Greek citizens lived in Istanbul to Geece after the orchestrated by Turkish government riots and pogroms of the ethnic Greek community. The film shows not only difficult relationships between Greeks and Turks but also refers to trouble adapting Greek refugees in homeland taken over by military junta.
